We all gathered at Prestwick Airport, absolutely no hassles whatsoever with checking in, despite having five huge items of sports baggage booked. Our flight departs 10 minutes early, and arrives at Torp 20 minutes early. Ian has a wee kip while we wait on our Rent-A-Wreck minibus to arrive.

We got lucky (or unlucky as we found out a couple of days later), as there was an Inverness mob also waiting on a Rent-A-Wreck minibus; being last off the mark they got a smallish Toyota Hi-ace while we got a much bigger Transit. We set off for Rjukan and after picking up the keys for our accomodation, we finally arrived at our chalet at about 6: 30pm Norwegian time.

We organised the sleeping arrangements and anticipated the week ahead!
